Damselfly box

Another box! This one with a damselfly and lots and lots of circles (which are a pain in the butt with a woodburner).

This one is a gift for a graduate student who I worked with and who was a great mentor and friend while I was in college.

He works in wetlands and likes damselflies and dragonflies, thus the box.

The design was drawn and burned by me. I must admit I cheated a bit and referenced the damselfly and drew it very close to the original picture, which I cannot find now for the life of me... So credit for the pose from the unnamed photographer...
The coloring is a combination of woodstain and acrylic painting.
